I Have Seen Happiness 2002-2010

This series of works was prompted by a publication titled I Have Seen Happiness produced by Xiang Jing in 2011, and incorporates a selection of works created since her graduation from art college. This group of works takes the form of a Chinese hand-scroll painting and simulates its narrative style – a reader is encouraged to unfold and read this series of artwork by moment by moment. “I Have Seen Happiness” therefore comprises works that are petite and rather ingenious. This group of works is comparable to Xiang’s major phases in terms of its seriousness, owing to the completeness of the concept that they embody, and the persuasiveness of their artistic language.
