Will Things Ever Get Better? (2009-2011), Naked Beyond Skin (2006-2008), Keep In Silence (2003-2005), and Mirror Image (1999-2002) are four principle phases of artworks which embody the major themes in Xiang Jing’s deliberate scheme and continuity of thought in their own ways.
Works produced by Xiang Jing since 1995 which are not encompassed in the four phases aforementioned form five distinct series: Ways of Seeing (2011), Pre-Mirror Image (1998), I Have Seen Happiness (2002-2010), Intermittent (1995-2007), and A Four-Person Show in March (1995).
