Xiang Jing and Tao Ye hold two talks on "Body and Time" in Shanghai

In May 2017, artist and sculptor Xiang Jing and Tao Ye, performer of modern dance and founder of Tao Dance Theatre, hold two talks centered on "Time and Body" at The Mix Place and The Yuz Museum in Shanghai.
"Time" and "Body" forms the most essential overlap between dance as an art form and sculpture as an art form. Limited and unlimited, consumption and accumulation, in this relationship of confrontation, one has to think about the truth and essence of the world. Maybe this is the key why art becomes art. In the two talks, two artists take the characteristics of sculpture and dance as a starting point, and apply experiences and perspectives from different art fields, to dive into a discussion on the uniqueness of contemporary art.
