To "See", No One Can Do It For Us

Qu Guangci

We are fighting a battle with our eyeballs—for eyeballs are expensive. The only substitute we have is gaze, looking intently and steadily. Through gaze, we still can see; however, eyeballs are not required.

When people step on the ground, the sound of the nature is all round,But man says with his head shaking, "I heard nothing!" Don't be surprised and disappointed. After men got together, they are no longer part of the nature. But if you break the sound and give each man a small piece, man will say, "Oh, yes! There is a great sound!"

Every morning, you can hear the sound of the dawn when you get up. However, you never feel the sunset when you are halfway and in a hurry. So there is more that you can "see" at night than during the day,and more in sleep than is awake.

Speaking is another language. However, even you hid yourself and spoke in the almanac, you cannot shake off the suspicion of playing a performance. It is similar to that you show the old game to the pirates who like to compose music. Nevertheless the performance is an art of seeing, and waving hands on the beach is mor like dancing;and the pirate knows the only purpose of yours is to be on board.

Don't you see? There's a sunset behind the ship — it is glorious, but without speaking.

Metaphysics is a fault. It seems to have opened our mind;however,it is the curse of our eyes. In music class,we can see the rapid movements of the keys of a piano. But we never "see" its sound spattering in all directions. Able to fly in the sky, we see the forest and the wild field. But the fresh wound in the branch, the reddish brown of the fallen leaves, the crystal dewdrop on it,as well as the sound of the wind flying across the wild,we won't "see". In the farthest distance,we can see the red spire of the church erected silently everyday, but where it directs to,we,never, feel.

So,

To "see", No One Can Do It for Us.
