Xiang Jing in invited to show at "Bridging — Important Female Artists of Our Time" in Hong Kong

In collaboration with Marlborough Fine Art, Galerie Huit is pleased to present a group exhibition featuring four female artists from the international art stage. This exhibition is held at the Pao Galleries, Hong Kong Arts Centre from 14 to 26 November, 2013. Artwork from internationally recognized artists Maggi Hambling, Paula Rego, Yan Ping and Xiang Jing is presented.

Following the global feminist movements in the 1960s, interest has risen increasingly for the exploration of female artists both from the international art market and art historical arenas. While female artists still face challenges in gaining recognition within the art world due to bias in gender and social expectation, many female artists in recent years have successfully broken through these societal constraints to become prominent figures both in terms of artistic merit and market value.

Recognizing the growing importance for exposure of these artists due to increased interest and demand, Galerie Huit along with Marlborough Fine Art present this exhibition featuring internationally renowned artists from both the East and the West, celebrating the global talents of female artists in this unique cultural exchange and artistic dialogue.
