Moncler Toy produced by Xiang Jing presents in Moncler Milan boutique during the Milan Furniture Fair

2010-04

Moncler launches a new initiative that combines art, fashion and charity to support the non-profit association 7° Piano.
The key testimonial, straight from Hong Kong, will be the Moncler Toy in the form of the eco-creative interpretation produced by successful Chinese artist and sculptor Xiang Jing. The brand’s iconic duck,  in the appealing 3D resin version measuring 160 cm in height, made by Moncler and “clothed” by the artist according to her own personal vision, is present at the Milan boutique. Public will be able to admire this artwork and buy the 150 limited edition T-shirts personalised with the image and purposely created by Moncler for the initiative.
All proceeds will be donated to the “7° Piano” association, which is dedicated to financing research into tumours affecting children. Xiang Jing’s Toy is also a poetic and playful declaration of love to the child within each of us. It is a work of art which the artist has used to transmit to the public the feelings she experienced in returning, after many years, to Beijing, the city of her childhood. The surprising beauty of the trees which only explode in Northern China in spring with sudden and sensational vitality is communicated by the Toy. It is painted jade green from top to bottom, and itself becomes a tree, revealing real branches and leaves just like in a child’s dream. At the same time it acts as a new and enthralling manifesto for eco-sustainability supporting nature as a source of creativity, imagination and life.
