Xiang Jing “I Have Seen Happiness” exhibition shows at Park Hyatt Beijing. New book titled “I Have Seen Happiness” launches at the same occasion

2011-04

Different from the artist’s usual large-scale works, “I Have Seen Happiness” comprises works that are petite and rather ingenious. This group of works takes the form of a Chinese hand-scroll painting and simulates its narrative style — a reader is encouraged to unfold and read this series of artwork moment by moment.

This group of works is comparable to Xiang’s major phases in terms of its seriousness, owing to the completeness of the concept that they embody, and the persuasiveness of their artistic language.

Xiang Jing’s new book titled “I Have Seen Happiness” comprised of a collection of 21 essays written in recent years launches on the same day.
