Xiang Jing is awarded as one of the four “2012 Martell Artists of the Year”. The exhibition tours from Beijing, to Shanghai and Guangzhou

The year 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the renowned Martell Cordon Bleu cognac, the choice of connoisseurs. Martell believes in the importance of art and supports its progress with “Martell Artists of the Year”. In 2012, four exceptional artists with reputation in respective fields have been awarded as the “Martell Artists of the Year”. They are: Liu Wei, a conceptual artist who subverts order in search for authenticity; Xiang Jing, a sculptor who exquisite body language speaks to the world; Ye Yongqing, an oil painter whose brushwork captures the essence of life, and Philip-Locra diCorcia, a photographer who uses virtual lighting to create reality.
The “2012 Martell Artists of the Year” exhibition will show at The Today Art Museum in Beijing, Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai, and Guangzhou Times Museum.
