NordArt 2023 2023

On June 2nd, the prestigious international contemporary art exhibition NordArt 2023 opened successfully in the state of Schleswig Holstein in northern Germany. The opening ceremony was attended by nearly 500 artists, curators and representatives from fields including the government, institutions, and media, from all over the world.
NordArt(GER) has long been dedicated to the promotion of cross-cultural exchanges between Germany and China. The exhibition this year has featured the Chinese Pavillion in the center location of the show. With bamboo forests, trails, and elements of 'yin and yang', it highlights the Chinese cultures embedded in the works brought by 21 Chinese artists. In addition to the special program for Chinese art, the Country in Focus 2023 program is giving deeper insight into art from the Republic of Turkey, and a special program for Polish art is also on display.
Since receiving the Public Choice Award at NordArt 2018, Xiang Jing has been invited to exhibit at NordArt for the third time. This year, for this largest showcasing of Chinese contemporary art in Germany since the epidemic outbreak, NordArt once again chose to collaborate with Xiang Jing and present the sculpture work, Dress Up from her series 'S'.
