Themed “Intellective City”, the 2020 Shenzhen Bay Public Art Season sees an opening on November 21st at Sea World Culture & Arts Center (SWCAC Design and Art Museum) and Shenzhen Talent Park. 50 artists from different countries and regions around the world bring together knowledge and experience from their own locality, as a calling for the establishment of new dialog, exchange and negotiation mechanism between city residents in the future society. Divided into two sections: Historical Intersectionality and Reconstructing the Future, the exhibition creates interactions between the art works and the viewers and seeks to cultivate “intelligence” by yielding the public the choice making in information and aesthetics, guiding transformation in subjectivity and creativity, and forming the public integration of information cognition.
Upon the foundation of possibilities of new urban knowledge and experiences, this Season aims to discuss the development trend of humankind and our city, and to raise the question: if the human race does not change the existing way of societal operation, in the end, how will our cities look like?
