On September 30th, 2020, Albergue SCM welcomes the opening of ARTFEM 2020, Natura. Themed nature in Latin, the biennial is organized by Albergue SCM, sponsored mainly by FUNDACAO MACAU, with support from a wide network of institutions in Macau. Exhibitions are hosted by 4 different venues and a series of related cultural events are programmed.
By realizing this second edition of ARTFEM, the curatorial team aims to draw attention to urgent issues on the ravages to the environment, according preservation, and the relationship between human and nature, while “gazes” upon the social problems in Macau and the Pearl River Delta area, caused by the pandemic of Covid-19 ever since December 2019.
Invited as one of the Godmothers of ARTFEM 2020, Xiang Jing also gives a sharing, at the Macau University of Science and Technology – Faculty of Humanities and Arts Master in Communication & Arts Seminar Series.
